There’s no doubt that you’re winning and executing business based on a repeatable process that demonstrates your unique value. That process is likely a series of things to do in order to create and keep momentum and assign responsibility. In other words, it’s your task list or playbook.
Let’s frame this with another well known application of a “playbook”. I run the risk of offending some people here with a very controversial topic, especially those in Miami, New York, and Buffalo. Here goes:
Consider these names: Deion Branch, David Patten, Troy Brown, David Givens, Wes Welker, Julian Edelman, and Danny Amendola. All of these are NFL wide receivers that played, or play, under the Bill Belichick coached New England Patriots. They are all completely fine at what they do, but none are generational talents like many of their peers playing for different teams throughout the Tom Brady era. Yet many of us know them because of their achievements whilst playing within the Patriot’s system. A system that elevates process, doing your job, and accountability, all in the tune of 8 Super Bowl appearances over an 18 year period.
Back to commercial real estate. You yourself have a process and win and execute new business because of it. That’s why Apto is excited to tell you that we’ve built a super simple way for you to create a task playbook that can easily be applied to any deal stage helping you be more efficient as you work your deals. Here’s what you need to know:
At every deal stage you have to do something to move the deal forward. Those things, (tasks), range from calling the right people, producing the right material, pulling the appropriate data, and delivering the right information at the right time. If you have a series of tasks you perform at each stage of a deal, then you’ll be thrilled to know that Apto Deals can automate the creation of those tasks.
It all starts with your first deal. Upon creating your first deal, you’ll be asked if you want to create a set of tasks to complete in order to advance the deal. Create the tasks that you know you need to perform to advance the deal, and then save them as a template that can be reapplied with the click of a button for each subsequent deal. It’s that simple.
Now every time you perform all your tasks a specific deal stage and drag your deal to the next stage, you can apply your task playbook through a series of dead simple prompts. Pick your playbook, click save and voila, you’re onto the next set of deal stage specific tasks.
Like with the Bill Belichick system, you can insert any new players and still achieve the same success. Whether it’s a new client, a new broker you're partnered with, your support staff, or a new junior associate, you’re executing a playbook that achieves results.
